The City of Alexandria and the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP) are set to host an economic summit on May 8. The event will take place from 3 to 7 p.m., with the location details to be announced shortly.

The summit aims to foster a community discussion regarding Alexandria's economic health and future prospects. Organizers highlight that ongoing changes in the regional economy necessitate adaptation within the community. They emphasize, "Alexandria is proud of its history and success, but the way things have always been done won’t meet the community’s needs in the future."

Attendees will gain insights into national and regional economic trends, learn about Alexandria's approach to economic development, and discuss potential challenges and opportunities. Preliminary findings from consulting teams, based on early roundtables and feedback, will also be presented.

Participants are encouraged to register for the event and subscribe to Alexandria eNews for updates via the Economic Summit webpage.
