The Alexandria West planning process is making steady progress as the community actively participates in shaping the future of the area. With gratitude to those who have already contributed and a warm invitation to those who haven't, here are the latest updates on the project:

The materials from the community meeting held on December 11 are now available on the project webpage. These materials provide valuable insights and perspectives shared during the meeting.

Looking ahead, there are two important work sessions scheduled. The first will be with the Planning Commission on January 4, followed by a session with the City Council on January 23. During these sessions, the staff will present an update on the planning process and community engagement thus far. Additionally, they will seek feedback on the draft framework elements of the Plan. While these work sessions are open to the public, it's important to note that they do not include a public comment section.

In the coming months of February and March, the draft Plan recommendations will be released for community feedback. This will be an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to provide their input and suggestions. Furthermore, the staff will update Boards and Commissions with the progress made. Keep an eye out for more information on specific dates and timing, as these will be announced in January.
