Alexandria's City Council will be hosting a town hall meeting tomorrow, January 27, to discuss the proposed Potomac Yard Entertainment District. The event will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center on 901 Wythe St.

During the town hall, members of the City Council will provide a brief overview of the project and address any questions, concerns, and feedback from the community. It is important to note that only those attending in person will be able to submit questions. While the event will be broadcasted online, virtual participants will not have the opportunity to ask questions. However, registration for the broadcast is available for those who wish to observe.

The City of Alexandria and all partners involved in the Potomac Yard Development Project are committed to understanding and addressing the needs and concerns of the community. This town hall meeting serves as an opportunity for residents to voice their thoughts and opinions to City leadership.

In addition to the town hall, there will be two other listening sessions scheduled to discuss specific aspects of the Potomac Yard Entertainment District. The first session will focus on transportation and traffic management and is scheduled for Thursday, February 1. The second session will center around small businesses and economic opportunities and is set for Thursday, February 8.

For more information about these events and the Potomac Yard Entertainment District, interested individuals can visit the Monumental ALX page on the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership's website.

This town hall meeting and the subsequent listening sessions are crucial for fostering open dialogue and ensuring that the community's voice is heard in the decision-making process.
