The Murray-Dick-Fawcett House in Alexandria has been recognized by Preservation Virginia for its exceptional restoration efforts. This recognition highlights the Office of Historic Alexandria's work on one of the city's oldest residential structures. The house, acquired by the City of Alexandria in 2017, recently completed a two-phase exterior restoration that began in 2021.
The Preservation Awards Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 27th at Main Street Station in Richmond. The event will honor nine awardees, including the Murray-Dick-Fawcett House. Additionally, Elizabeth S. Kostelny, CEO of Preservation Virginia, will be acknowledged for her 34 years of leadership.
