The City of Alexandria is inviting community members to provide feedback on proposed improvements to John Ewald Park, located at 4452 Duke Street. Residents can participate in an online survey until September 23, which aims to gather opinions on park improvement recommendations.

Feedback collected will play a crucial role in prioritizing the park's enhancements and will contribute to the development of a concept design set to commence this fall. The results from the survey will be shared on the project's webpage. Further community meetings and discussions about the park's concept design are planned between December and March 2025, culminating in a Park and Recreation Commission Public Hearing.

John Ewald Park spans 3.88 acres on Alexandria's West End and currently features amenities such as a lighted basketball court, playground, parking lot, and open grass area. Recommendations for its improvement were initially established in 2015 following a planning process for each of the city's 19 neighborhood parks.
