The Alexandria Health Department (AHD) is reaching out to residents, workers, and visitors in Alexandria to connect with them through social media. AHD is now available on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly known as Twitter), providing a new way for the community to receive public health news, tips, and updates.

In addition to these platforms, AHD will continue disseminating information via the City’s eNews platform. The department sees this expansion into social media as an opportunity to engage more effectively with the community regarding personal and public health matters.

“Just like digital networks, public health is constantly changing,” said AHD Director Dr. David Rose. “We know it’s been a long time coming, but we’re excited to be on social media. I invite the community to join AHD online and be a part of our city’s health future.”

For those interested in connecting with AHD through these new channels or seeking additional contact methods, links are available on AHD's Contact webpage.
